Our Dental Office Health & Safety Measures
Your safety and the safety of our doctors and staff are our top priority, which is why we do our best and bring the latest equipment and technology to ensure your health.
Besides having the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which include N95 masks, surgical masks, face shields, gowns, hair and shoe covers, we sterilize the room after each patient with extreme attention to detail.
In addition, we have specialized equipment to make sure that everything from the dental water to the air in the office exceeds current guidelines.

Sterisil Dental Waterline Treatment

Rest assured that we make sure that the water that we use exceeds the standards of safe water as recommended by the CDC.
The CDC recommends less than or equal to 500 colony forming units per milliliter of water (≤500 CFU/mL), the standard for drinking water set by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
We exceed that standard every day with out results being less than or equal to 10 colony forming units per milliliter of water (≤10 CFU/mL), which is 50x less than what is recommended by the CDC! We accomplish this by:
Using a closed water system
Starting with bottled distilled water
Use of the Sterisil V2 Straw
Regular waterline maintenance
Regular waterline testing by an independent evaluator.
dental aerosols
We use Extra Oral Vacuum Aspirators (EVOAs) or Air Cleaning Systems (ACSs) to significantly reduce the amount of dental aerosols and any mercury vapors from removal of silver fillings from entering the surrounding air and from entering into our bodies… keeping you and our team safe.
Aerosols are siphoned into a treatment chamber containing 4 different filtrations layers and then finally exposed to UV rays for further treatment.
The sound level of the EVOA or ACS is around 62dB which is a little louder than a conversation amongst a group of people but not as loud as a clothes dryer. We will have bluetooth headphones for your use, or please bring headphones to your appointment.
AirDoctor Professional Air Purifier
Air filtration system
We have added the AirDoctor Professional air filtration system to our office.
This is a closed system air filter which prevents any air that is being filtered from leaking out or escaping through the sides.
Based on the number of air filtration systems we have in the office, the air is turned over 3-4 times per hour.
The air passes through 3 filters, one of which is a ULTRAHEPA filter capable of filtering out ultra fine particles as small as 0.003 microns. This includes bacteria, viruses, mold, dander, pollen, dust, etc.
