My sweet daughter Gloria is turning 4! Time just flies by. Thank you to all the wonderful friends and family who came to celebrate her birthday and also for the birthday wishes!!
A young dad found me and decided to come to me because he saw that I had taught at UCSF Dental School in the past. He told me that another dentist wanted to pull out a lot of his teeth and that he needed root canals on almost every single tooth and extensive work. He had prior history for substance abuse but was trying to turn his life around for his almost 3 year old son. 🥹🥹🥹 If anything gets to this mommy’s heart, it’s a story like this. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ We were able to clean out all of the cavities and fix his teeth with composite bonding. We were able to avoid doing any root canal treatments or crowns as well. All in one appointment, minimal discomfort, maximum results for a healthier and much much happier patient. He told me before he left that he can’t wait to show his son and smile in the pictures for his birthday! Toddler brushing and flossing is always a hot topic in my office and parents are always asking me questions about how to best brush and floss their toddlers’ teeth. I am here to tell you that it can be done!! Consistency and participating with them is the best and most effective way to get them to brush. My daughter in the first part of the video is 3.5 years old and my second daughter is 2 years old. Proper brushing and flossing will help your child from having to get dental work when they are young. Early childhood caries (ECC) is the most prevalent disease in children and can easily be avoided with proper brushing and flossing and diet.
